The three following pictures are taken on the 'shoulder' above the West Side Drive, about 2 miles up from the Junction of Trail Canyon and West Side Drive. The entrance to the canyon can be seen below the snow covered Telescope Peak. This spot is the best place to camp before entering Trail Canyon narrows.
